Andrea Andreoli

Graduated in Trombone at the Conservatory "G. Verdi “ in Como, under the guidance of Pierluigi Salvi in 2009;

Studied jazz and improvisation at the Centro Didattico Produzione Musica (CDPM) of Bergamo with Sergio Orlandi and Rudy Migliardi from 2002 to 2004.

Master degree in jazz trombone at the Conservatory Giuseppe Verdi in Milan under the guidance of Giovanni Falzone in 2013

Extended study of jazz and improvisation with Marshall Gilkes and Elliot Mason.

Won the audition for the lead trombone chair with Norrbotten big band (Sweden)

Collaborated as lead trombone with the Norrbotten big Band (Sweden), the Civica Jazz Band di Enrico Intra, Paolo Tomelleri Big Band, Jazz Company Big Band,Nick The NightFly Orchestra (resident band, Blue Note Milano), Giovanni Falzone’s Contemporary Orchestra, Verdi Jazz Orchestra.

Played with (most important): WDR Big Band, Incognito, Maria Schneider, Vince Mendoza, Fred Hersch, Ennio Morricone, Lew Soloff, Bob Mintzer, Bill Laurence, Randy Brecker, Gianluigi Trovesi, Jimmy Heath, Dave Weckl, Fabrizio Bosso, Francesco Cafiso, Acrobats, Bobby Watson, Roberto Gatto, Enrico Rava, Tino Tracanna, Enrico Intra Franco Cerri, Franco Ambrosetti, Tullio De Piscopo, playing in festivals like the London Jazz Festival, Turin Jazz Festival, Bergamo Jazz festival, Trento jazz Festival, Vicenza Jazz Festival, Bulach jazz festival, Malta Jazz Festival, Ascona Jazz Festival and many others.

Recording credits include albums with: WDR Big Band, Fred Hersch (a grammy awards nomination with Begin Again), Vince Mendoza, Bob Mintzer, Bill Laurence, Enrico Intra, Norrbotten Big band, Vein Trio, Mina, Malika Ayane, Mario Biondi.

Grammy Awards 2020 nomination with the album “Begin Again” (Fred Hersch and WDR Big Band).

In the field of musicals has played in BEAUTY AND THE BEAST (Stage Entertainment 2009); CATS (Compania della Rancia 2010-2011); HAPPY DAYS (Compania deal Rancia 2011); HAIR SPRAY (Espace Cardin, Paris, 2012); SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER (Stage Entertainment 2012/13).

Participated in various prime time Italian television programs, including (the most important): ZELIG (CHANNEL 5, 2011/12); Mettiamoci all'opera 2 (RAI 1, 2011); Che tempo che fa (RAI 3, 2012); The Voice (Rai 2 2013), Casa Mika (Rai 2, 2017), Michelle Impossible (Canale 5, 2022)

Currently (since 2012) touring with Malika Ayane, playing in all the most important Italian theaters and clubs and Mario Biondi.

Working as a session player in the Milan area, collaborating with the most important studios and discography labels for the production of TV music, soundtracks, musicals etc...
